Erasmus Mundus Master Nanoscience and Nanotechnology

Concept

The program is a two-year/two location program. All students spend the first year at the KU Leuven to follow the common courses and already some elective specializing courses preparing them for the second year. In the second year the students choose one of the other universities to follow the compulsory specialization and elective broadening courses, and carry out the master thesis research project. The program consists of 120 ects-credits in total, from which 60 ects-credits should be followed at each university. In the application file the student gives a preference for the second year university, depending on the choice of his/her major. The final trajectory is decided at the selection meeting of the EMM Board. If a students wants to change his/her trajectory during the program, he should inform the programme coordinator, who will send an email to the Board members, who give their approval within 2 weeks. Then the program coordinator will inform the EU-Commission. Students that succeed the Master will receive a common degree (KUL-Dresden, KUL-Grenoble, KUL- Chalmers) which includes a common diploma and a common diploma supplement with the full list of courses and credits and the scores for each course they followed at both universities.
