- Exams take place in the sessions organized by the local partner university, according to the rules of the university.
- The ects-credits are gained for the course if the student passes the exam, according to the rules of the local university (so no deliberation possible !!)
- If the student obtains more ects-credits, credits can only be transferred to the next year if the excess represents a full course.
- Students who do not pass the exam of the course, can get 1 or more retakes in the same academic year, according to the rules of the local university.
- The student obtains the double Master diploma if he/she has obtained minimum 120 credits in total and minimum 54 credits at each of both universities where he/she is following the program.
- If the student did not obtain his/her 60 credits at the first year university (K.U.Leuven), the extra courses that he/she will follow at the second year university can be chosen from the elective broadening courses of the second year university. A student can, however, not fail the core courses at the K.U. Leuven. In case a student fails a core course in the first year he/she will have to come back to retake the exam during the second year.
- In case a student does not obtain his 120 credits or the 54 credits at each university at the end of year 2 he/she can either leave the program, or he/she has to re-register for a third year for the missing credits.
